Cross over
Prayer Week
2026
Week of Prayer + fasting
we believe God is inviting us to move from promise to possession; not by strength or strategy alone, but by dependence on Him. Prayer and fasting prepare our hearts to follow God’s presence, let go of old patterns, and step into new territory with faith.

What is fasting?
What is fasting?
Fasting is an act of surrender. It’s saying, “God, I need You more than anything else.” When we fast, we silence the noise, break spiritual strongholds, and make room for God’s power to move. This week isn’t just about prayer—it’s about fasting to shift atmospheres and appetites – break chains and invite heaven to invade earth. Fasting reveals and heals our dependence on food (and other things) to fill the discomfort caused by low self-esteem, unfulfilling work, unloving relationships, uncontrollable circumstances, etc. It removes the false peace derived from the pleasure of eating. We cover up what is inside us with food and other good things, but in fasting these things surface. If pride controls us, it will be revealed almost immediately.
Daily Devotionals
Day 1
Seeking the Lord + His presence
Day 1 invites us to begin our week of prayer and fasting by turning our attention toward God’s presence. From Joshua 3:5, we learn that consecration isn’t about becoming perfect, but becoming available—setting our lives apart for sacred use. Before we “cross over” into a new season, we commit to seeking the Lord first.
Day 2
Surrender + healing in his presence
In Day 2, we are reminded that breakthrough doesn’t come from striving—it comes from surrender. God’s power is found in His presence, and James 4:7–8 invites us to submit to the Lord and draw close to Him. As we yield our hearts to His love, we are positioned to experience healing, freedom, and peace in Jesus Christ.
Day 3
Rest + Trust in his presence
In Day 3, we’re reminded that ministry often means stepping into the waters first so others can follow. Joshua 3:13 reveals that the miracle began when the priests rested in the Jordan while carrying the presence of God. As we serve and lead, we can trust that we are not alone—His presence is with us, and the waters will not overtake us.
Day 4
Crossing over together
In Day 4, we reflect on God’s heart for families and the next generation. Joshua 4 shows that after Israel crossed over, God instructed them to build a memorial so their children would ask and remember what the Lord had done. This devotional encourages us to intentionally include our children in what God is doing and to anchor them in truth as we step into a new season.
Day 5
preperation, provision + prophecy
In Day 5, we reflect on God’s invitation to prepare without pressure. Joshua 1:11 reminds us that preparation is not about earning what God has promised, but being ready to receive it. As we stand at the threshold of a new season, we choose peace, trust His provision for the next step, and welcome His voice to steady our hearts.
3 things to help you continue to cross over:
KEEP ONE PRACTICE YOU STARTED (A TIME, A SCRIPTURE RHYTHM, A SILENCE HABIT)
MARK WHAT GOD SHOWED YOU (WRITE IT DOWN; TELL SOMEONE)
MOVE IN OBEDIENCE (CROSSING OVER REQUIRES ACTION, NOT JUST INSIGHT)
